In 1968, he started working for the local National Van lines agent in San Rafael.
In 1981, when that agent closed the business, he started Belfor Moving, and got a National Van Lines agency contract.
Craig Belfor has a 45 year relationship with National Van lines, with over 30 years as a prime agent.
Belfor Moving is the oldest moving company in Novato, CA and has seen the industry grow and change in many ways.

Founded in 1933, and passed down through three generation of family to now become an employee-owned van line, National Van Lines has the highest General Services rating of all the major van lines.
Now that it is owned by the employees (Maureen Beal, the granddaughter of the founder, gave the company to her loyal staff upon her retirement at the end of 2019), there is personal "skin in the game" with every move.
